Mythic Living Origins – A Surprising Encounter on our Land
Mythic Living continues as we step from the early days of arrival into the threshold where our new life began to take shape. We found ourselves in the rainforest by the sea working with limited funds as the build of our house was delayed. We were learning the land through necessity, shaping the beginnings of a home by doing what we could with our own hands.
In the midst of this work, a cassowary appeared, inspecting our progress. This entry follows the challenges of those early cycles: failed gardens, biting green tree ants, and constant planting changes. Each obstacle became part of the tempering process, preparing us for the greater test ahead, the long wait for our house to be built in a remote region during supply shortages, increased costs, and ongoing delays.
